At Sample Supports, we are proud to offer social work and clinical internships that give students hands-on experience in the field while making a real impact in the community. Our interns work alongside experienced professionals in behavioral health, disability services, and community programs, gaining practical skills in case management, direct support, and clinical consultation. With individualized supervision, flexible placements, and opportunities to engage in innovative, person-centered practices, our internships provide valuable preparation for future careers in social work, counseling, and related fields. At Sample Supports, interns don’t just observe—they become part of a passionate team dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities.

Masters Level University Programs We Partner With

We have developed a dynamic internship program that gives our students a full perspective into all aspects of what we do as well as the skills we value in our future leaders and clinicians. We are able to offer valuable social work/clinical experiences within our group of connected companies, including:

Clinical Experience:

Championing (and facilitating) a mental health group through Sample Therapy Services
Providing direct behavioral/mental health support to a caseload of 1-2 individuals.
Providing Case Management to 1-2 seniors living in Bross Street Assisted Living
Providing Case Management to 1-2 PCA Clients living in an apartment setting
Facilitating clinical assessments for a potential resident entering Bross Street Assisted Living
Complete SAFE Assessments for potential foster care families

Macro/Community Social Work

Monitoring (and implementing follow up for) assigned State Memos, new bills and regulations
Program/Curriculum Development & Implementation Projects, including QA & Data Tracking
Weekly Clinical/Task Supervision (including both group and individual formats)

Attendance and participation in our lobbying and legislative efforts and State-wide meetings
Analysis and tracking of legislation, State Memos and Federal/State changes.

Licensure and Credential Hours We Can Supervise & Support

Sample Supports provides a wide variety of internship pathways designed to give students hands-on experience in both clinical and community-based settings. Interns can pursue opportunities in specialized fields such as Licensed Clinical Social Work, Licensed Professional Counseling, Licensed or Certified Addictions Counseling, and Clinical Counseling Services, gaining direct exposure to therapeutic practices, behavioral supports, and treatment planning.

Our Internship Opportunities

For those interested in broader human services, placements are available in Disability Services, Behavior Counseling & Assessment, Assisted Living Services, High Risk Housing, and Community Integration, allowing interns to work alongside experienced staff in real-world service environments. Sample Supports also offers unique opportunities in Policy & Advocacy, Administrative Services, and Child Welfare Services, giving interns a chance to engage in systems-level work, leadership development, and program coordination. Additionally, internships in Addiction Treatment provide experience in direct care, relapse prevention, and recovery support, helping prepare students for specialized work in behavioral health
