Self-Advocacy Group

Interventions Used: Self-Determination Theory, Person-Centered Planning, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Skills-Based Learning & Role Play

This group helps participants build the confidence and skills to speak up for themselves, make decisions, and navigate everyday situations more independently. Sessions focus on real-life scenarios—like asking for help, setting boundaries, making choices, and understanding personal rights—while giving participants a chance to practice these skills in a supportive setting. The goal is to help each person feel more confident using their voice and taking an active role in their own life.
